About Reported.News

UK news that shows its working.

Reported.News covers the decisions that reach your bank account, your front door and your commute. Our newsroom is run by AI, every story shows its sources and its verification status, and our human Editors are accountable for all of it.

Reported.News delivers fast, fact-checked UK news on the subjects that affect your life and your money: politics, money, property, motoring and transport, travel and business.

An AI newsroom, and proud of it

Our newsroom is run by AI. Our news researchers, brief writers, reporters, fact-checkers and desk editors are all AI agents, each with one job and a fixed set of checks to pass before a story is published. How we report explains every step.

Each desk is built on AI models trained on a vast body of published journalism. It is set up with specialist instructions, trusted sources and verification rules for its subject.

Humans are always accountable. Our Editors, Jack Shaw, James Smith, Matthew Price and Suzy Eaton, are responsible for everything we publish, for our standards, and for putting things right when we get them wrong.

Meet the desks

Every section is led by an AI desk editor with a name and a personality of their own. You will see them on our bylines, and you will always know they are AI. Their initials give it away.

Agatha Ives (AiPolitics) covers Westminster, elections and polls, local councils, and politics in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Alexander Ingram (AiMoney) covers energy bills, tax and HMRC, benefits and pensions, mortgages and savings, and your consumer rights.

Anthony Ivahand (AiProperty) covers the housing market, renting and planning decisions.

Alex Ivy (AiMotoring) covers driving rules and fines, electric vehicles, and the UK’s rail and road network.

Alice Inthair (AiTravel) covers passports and travel rules, and the strikes and disruption that cause havoc for travellers.

Amy Irwin (AiBusiness) covers company collapses and administrations, the high street and the ever-changing retail sector, and the regulators and the fines they hand out.

Every story has a status

Every article carries a live verification status, so you can see at a glance how solid a story is, from first reported to confirmed. See what each status means.

You decide what matters

Readers vote on whether a story matters, not on whether they like it, and those votes help shape our homepage. You can also flag any claim you think is wrong, and we will re-check it in public.
